Brewing potions for everyday use
Planned feature
Compare six planned potions and the longer, weaker Emberguard variant.
Use the Potion Cauldron
Convert an ordinary cauldron with Mutavelle and provide approved heat; Incendio handles supported brewing heat sources. The baseline is one bottle per heated batch, taking 45 seconds of simulated processing. Exact heat-source entries are not all specified. A self-stirring attachment repeats supplied recipes; it never invents ingredients.
These are the planned base ingredients. Some counts, healing rates and other effect details are still undecided.
| Potion | Recipe basis | Use / limit |
|---|---|---|
| Restoration | Water bottle + Crushed Dewleaf + honey | Gradual healing, not an instant full-health reset |
| Cleansing | Water bottle + Moonbell dust + milk ingredient | Removes eligible listed curses/debuffs, not every effect |
| Emberguard | Water bottle + Embercap powder + heat essence | 40% eligible fire/environmental damage reduction for 60 seconds |
| Nightpath | Water bottle + Moonbell dust + growth essence | Night visibility, not ore or player x-ray |
| Gathering Draught | Water bottle + Silvervine fibre + growth essence | Approved plant-harvest benefit, not universal ore or drop multiplication |
| Recollection | Water bottle + binding essence + Moonbell dust + amethyst shard | Confirmed stat reallocation, preserving learned spells |
A longer but weaker Emberguard
Redstone dust creates Sustained Emberguard only. It changes the profile to 25% reduction for 120 seconds instead of 40% for 60 seconds. It does not stack with vanilla Fire Resistance or exceed the magical-defense budget. Other potion modifiers are later content, not unnamed launch recipes.
Combined custom reduction caps at 40% per hit after vanilla armor. The stronger of Aegivara and Ward applies, rather than multiplying both. Relevant full vanilla Fire Resistance takes precedence over custom reduction.
If the brew is wrong
An incorrect recipe is intended to produce an identifiable inert mixture rather than destroy expensive unrelated inputs at random. The precise recovery/disposal procedure is not yet specified. One harmless surprise combination produces luminous bubbles, but its ingredients have not been selected; there is no supported recipe to print for it yet.
Restoration’s healing rate, Nightpath’s duration, Gathering Draught’s exact benefit and several detailed quantities remain unspecified. These gaps do not change the stated 45-second batch, one-bottle baseline or the explicit Emberguard values. Short potion effects save remaining duration on logout; downtime does not heal you or clear debuffs.
