Preparing and casting spells
Planned feature
Use a prepared set and cooldowns, while keeping your ordinary hotbar.
Your intended wand controls
These controls are planned; the full layout is not yet tested or available. Hold a wand to use them. Without a wand, normal Minecraft controls apply. The side display is intended to show your prepared list, selection and cooldown without replacing your normal hotbar.

Cooldowns instead of mana
There is no mana or focus bar, and no general per-cast ingredient fee. Explicit crafting recipes and travel consumables still cost their listed inputs. Successful eligible casts wear the wand; that condition is equipment upkeep, not mana.
Cooldowns belong to you and the spell or effect group, not the wand in your hand. Switching wands, swapping amulets, changing form or relogging does not erase them. Offline time can expire a cooldown, but logging out does not clear an active combat restriction. Canceled or blocked casts do not earn death-protection charge.
When a spell will not fire
Check that you have learned and prepared it, that the wand is not exhausted, and that the cooldown has ended. Targets and workstations must be eligible and permitted. Interaction with an allowed chest or workstation should take priority where appropriate; opening a chest must not also cast a spell.
Lumos is planned to provide useful bounded illumination, not just glowing particles or a shader-dependent effect. Glimmer is not another name for the planned Lumos spell. Seeing Glimmer in use does not mean Lumos or the full preparation and control layout is available.
