Choosing wand tiers, woods and cores
Planned feature
Compare wand materials and construction. Learned magic stays with you.
The construction choices
All three starter tiers use the starter bench. A higher tier does not replace personal discovery or learning.
| Construction | Inputs |
|---|---|
| Tier I | Wand wood + feather + string |
| Tier II | Wand wood + prepared spider silk + iron fitting |
| Tier III | Wand wood + refined amethyst core + copper fitting + matching essence |
| Advanced pattern | Advanced bench; approved wood/core + runic fitting + rare stabilizer |
What your components change
The traits below are planned equipment effects, not spell unlocks. Hard range and control limits still apply; no trait creates free items.
| Component | Trait |
|---|---|
| Oak | 10% lower wear chance, checked once per eligible cast |
| Birch | +2 blocks of Accio/Revelio targeting range within global limits |
| Spruce | Protego ward lasts 0.25 seconds longer |
| Feather | Emergency maintenance restores 200 condition instead of 150 |
| Prepared silk | +2 blocks Wingardium manipulation reach; no extra eligible object types |
| Refined amethyst | Protego cooldown reduced by 1 second; shared cooldown still applies |
A separate advanced bench
Its frame is one crafting table, four planks and two iron ingots. The full assembly also calls for one book, four iron ingots, one runic fitting and two binding essences. The advanced pattern needs a rare stabilizer and offers one bounded custom trait; that trait is not specified yet. Tier III’s exact matching-essence assignment also needs completion.
Two string make one prepared silk at the Mortar. Two amethyst shards and one binding essence make one refined amethyst core at the Runic Workbench. A rare stabilizer combines one cleansed relic fragment, one amethyst shard and one binding essence there. See the workshop guide for fitting recipes. Trading or repairing a wand preserves its permanent construction.
